Who We Are
Built by the people who passed the SQE.
BridgeTheGapSQE was founded by a team of people who experienced the SQE process first-hand. We saw the problems with affordability, with a lack of confidence building for advocacy, and specific personal feedback.
Why we started BridgeTheGapSQE
We have become frustrated with the current academic offerings for the SQE: there is almost nothing that provides specific, honest feedback on the SQE2 that induces the most anxiety in every candidate - advocacy. At the moment, many candidates walk into advocacy exams without being as prepared as they could be.
We built the resource we wish had existed for us, closing the gap between studying and performing to give every candidate the access to the qualified, personalised and affordable feedback that really is needed to calm the nerves before the advocacy assessment.
This type of bespoke analysis has only been available for the most privileged candidates – that ends now.

Q. Who would review and/or write my Video Advocacy Report?
We have a dedicated team of SQE passers & educational consultants that are well-versed in reviewing SQE advocacy submissions as well as the SQE generally. At least two analysts will review your advocacy.
Q. How detailed are the Advocacy Notes?
The Advocacy Notes provide our suggestions of detailed templates for how to set out your advocacy submissions. In the exam, there are more than 10 different topics for each module that, in all likelihood, you will be asked to prepare and give submissions on.
The notes are, of course, specifically made for the advocacy and should not be taken as the only set of notes that you need for all of the exams for the Dispute Resolution and Criminal Litigation topics. Indeed, our notes would obviously benefit by being used in conjunction with a larger textbook/understanding of these modules in general.
Q. Why is your product better than the others? Why shouldn’t I just use one of the more established providers?
In our experience, other providers charge considerably more for a considerably worse product. They tend to be impersonal and provide general advice, whereas we provide bespoke analysis to you that is also specific to the SQE2 performance indicators. BridgeTheGapSQE is the product of multiple previous SQE candidates who have managed to perform well and pass on the first sitting.
Our products are also significantly more affordable than many other providers, without compromising on quality. The main reason people use more established providers is the peace of mind that it gives you; that because you have paid so much money, you must be on the right track. We think this is completely wrong, and more and more people are switching to smaller independent, but high quality, groups like us who are much better placed to help candidates pass the SQE.
Q. What do you mean by the “post-report email support”?
After you have submitted your Video Advocacy and received your report, you are able to ask us any follow-up questions you might have from your report. Please note these should be questions based around matters arising from your report that you would like clarification and/or further information on, rather than asking us more general questions.
Q. The prices are much cheaper than the main SQE providers, but couldn’t they be even cheaper?
We have tried to keep the prices as low as possible, and we think that is reflected by our products which are significantly cheaper than mainstream SQE providers. We know that affordability is a huge issue for many SQE candidates, which is why we have made this a priority.
We also believe that our products are very high quality with a considerable amount of work required, so we believe our products are very much value for money.
